P2P File Sharing

File sharing is the sharing of public or private date to multiple individuals or the masses. File sharing is basically when a file is given to someone else other than yourself. The recipient is allowed to read, view, write, modify, copy, or print the file that was handed to them. Popular file sharing storage devices accessible by almost everyone is Dropbox and google drive. File sharing is very helpful in getting information across.

Peer to peer file sharing (P2P) is the sharing of digital software such as books, movies, or games over the network to other computers. For a P2P file sharing to work, the user would have to install a P2P software program. This enables the user to download and upload files from and to the internet. Popular P2P file sharing sites are BitTorrent, uTorrent, and Pirates Bay. These P2P file sharing sites are also not very safe because of copyrights, viruses, and the risks involved when using these. According to NMA Staff article, producers should take advantage of P2P sharing. P2P sharing can help content producers bring the big audiences needed at a faster rate. With the millions of users in accessing P2P software daily, content is easily distributed and is beneficial to the producer.
