The Next New Thing
A current type of new media that doesn't exist is a sociable virtual reality. At the moment developers of the Oculus Rift has only been able to implement a single player version of the VR. Due to this, there is a no social networking available. If virtual reality could be made into a multiplayer type setting, it would be very interesting to see how others would interact during an online chat session or mmorpg. This would be like the anime Sword Art Online, where users would interact with each other in a game over virtual reality. This would be really cool and innovative. I would like to see this to become the next new media.

I am not really a fan of VR. It gives me a headache every time i try it out. I am hoping in the future they will improve on this technology, but a online interactive system would be pretty cool.

This would definitely be very cool, and its something that could very well come true as VR continues to evolve. Just imagine how many air high-fives people would be giving eachother!
ReplyDeleteit is cool idea,VR is the trend of future.i watched the anima sword art online,it is still hard to realize.But i hope we can play some virtual reality game in the future just like Sword Art,i would like to try it.
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea, especially since I watched SAO also. If players have a way to interact with each other through VR, it'd be much more fun and may provide a better experience.
